I told this story Sunday:
Cecil Walters, a great man of faith in our church, has been hospitalized for the past four weeks. Thursday, he took a turn for the worse.
I went to hospital and sat with Cecil while the family talked to the doctor. I couldn't understand all of what Cecil was saying, but as I talked with him and prayed with him, I could make out one phrase clearly: God knows best.
Cecil was telling me that no matter what happened, he was trusting that God knew what would be best for him and his family.
The good news is Cecil is improving. The best news is Cecil reminded us all to trust God - He knows best.
