Young Woman at ADBC sent me this story about God working in her life:
For
a couple months now my mother whom I have never known to go to church
has been attending church at ADBC
with us, She has been a big God send cause well because of her I have
gotten more involved in the church. We taught VBS together. It was a
great mother daughter experience and I really enjoyed us doing that
together..
Well the point of the story is me and my
mom both have a hard time reading the bible and comprehending the
meaning and some of the sayings but I found a book over the holidays
that is perfect for all those people who have a hard time and want to
read the Bible through but can't because they get “stuck”.
The book is called “The Story” and it is by Max Lucado. It is the
continuing story of the Bible from beginning to end. It is super great
and we can't put it down. We have made a commitment to read the book
through just like you would the Bible but it is in a way we
can understand. Because we have a buddy system it works good cause we
can discuss the story and parts we don’t understand. I recommend this
book to everyone and also get a buddy system going just like you would a
diet plan. If you are held accountable you
tend to do a little better. But again I just wanted to share this story,
and the excitement that I have that me and my mother can share such a
wonderful experience.
