We often turn to Exodus 18 - Moses and his conversation with his father-in-law Jethro (one of the coolest Biblical names) for leadership lessons. In my devotions, I came across this passage again and this is what stood out to me:
- The goal is not to burn out, but to lead.
- The most important thing a leader can do is be before God-- take care of their core.
- Teach the rules, the boundaries. The main job of the top leader.
- Get help! Recognize talent, share responsibility!
- It's okay to make the work easier!
